thoughts about ish
I would like to start with the fact that I will never watch football ever again… This post season, none of my teams have done anything. Every one of them has lost.
But mostly this is a post about the Golden Globes. An event that has also inspired me to go into writing because I would love to do reviews. Ricky Gervais also has my heart because he’s hilarious since he always rips on the alcoholics in the celebrity world. Cher isn’t a bribe. Has anyone ever heard of I Love You, Phillip Morris? Because I certainly haven’t. I’m most excited about the TV awards. This is definitely better than the People’s Choice Awards for sure. Poor Hurley, dude, he didn’t eat everyone. Now, ScarJo. She’s beautiful, but I still cannot believe her and Ryan are divorcing… And the winner for Best Supporting Actor is … (Jeremy Renner should get it) … Christian Bale. I didn’t see The Fighter so I can’t judge. I really can’t understand what he’s talking about though. This is an unnecessary speech. And I really hope he cuts his hair soon. When the music starts, you stop talking! LL Cool J, He would look that classy. And the winner for Best TV Actress in a Drama is … (I hope Keira) … Nevermind. Katie Segal. (I guess none of my people would win. I’m just having horrible luck.) She looks amazing in that long sleeved drop v-neck red satin dress. She has also aged very well; she’s probably doing some kind of treatment. Kevin Spacey and Julianne Moore are introducing Joe Mantegna’s daughter as the Miss Golden Globe and announcing the Best TV Mini Series or Movie. And the winner is Carlos. I have no idea what it’s about. I honestly wasn’t listening… I was trying to type up my category. Bruce Willissss! Oh man, for an old guy he doesn’t look too bad. He is also funny. He’s not announcing an award, but telling you the first nomination for Best Movie. RED. The movie about ex-CIA agents Leighton Meester and someone else are dressed very nice. And the winner of Best Supporting Actor in a TV Series, Mini Series, or TV Movie is Chris Colfer from GLEE ! I’m really excited really. I don’t watch GLEE, but it’s so nice to see it win something because I’m sure he really does deserve it. And he’s adorable, it’s so cute. Can you believe it’s the 68th annual Golden Globes? Michelle Pfeiffer is getting kind of old. But she also looks really good for her age. She’s announcing the Nomination of Alice in Wonderland for best movie – comedy or musical. Eva Longoria just tripped on her dress. I believe the length was taken from how low her dress is on her chest. She isn’t really important to this year’s Globes. The President of the Foreign Press Association is funny. He’s also making fun of Ricky. That’s how you get around Hollywood. Kevin Bacon ! Kevin Bacon ! I hope he never dies. And the winner of Best TV Actor in a Drama is … (Michael C. Hall, but I’m probably wrong) … Steve Buscemi. I’m not even going to predict anymore. This is ridiculous. I didn’t even know he was in a TV show. And they’re also announcing TV Drama Series. And the winner is … (Dexter, again, probably wrong… it could be The Walking Dead) … Or I’m completely wrong and it’s Boardwalk Empire. (That’s Steve Buscemi’s show.) Mark Walhberg is on this show too. The most adorable Andrew Garfield is talking about The Social Network. He’s beautiful and one of the “Hottest Nerds of Hollywood.” I love him. I also love Jesse Eisenberg (who on a personal note will be hosting SNL in two weeks). Alec Baldwin and Jennifer Lopez, such a strange pairing. But Jennifer just looks gorgeous. Alec Baldwin couldn’t be funnier, Hahah. And the winner of Best Original Song goes to … “You Haven’t Seen the Last of Me” from Burlesque. And they’re back to announce Best Original Score. And the winner goes to … (Danny Elfman for Alice in Wonderland or maybe The Social Network or Inception) … The Social Network! I thought it was a really cute score for the whole movie. It’s the music heard in the trailer and it was simple. I can agree with this one. Is that Justin Beieber? Yes, of course it is. And Haley Steinfelt. And the winner for Best Animated Film is … (TOY STORY 3! I’LL BE SOOOO MAD !) Yes yes yes yes ! Toy Story 3 won it! This is one that definitely deserved it. Justin Beiber is so small. I can’t believe he’s announcing awards. But the director was smart to make a joke about them. The movie was definitely the best of the year and I’m glad that it won a Globe. Ricky has lost his jacket. “Are these porn films?” Robert Downey, Jr. what a nice looking man. He even got some nice classy music too. He’s so funny to have as an announcer. Emma Stone looks weird with blond hair. Oh my gosh, this is such a dirty presentation. And the winner of Best Actress in a Motion Picture Comedy or Musical is … (Emma Stone for Easy A) … Annette Benning, I don’t know her. But I guess that’s okay. Now my Taco Bell is cold and I am not enjoying it as much. But I’m finally caught up to Live TV. Sylvester Stallone. I just love the way he talks. And that he reminds me of Milo Ventimiglia. Next Nominee for Best Motion Picture – Drama is The Fighter. Geoffrey Rush and Tilda Swinton. They both look strange when they aren’t in movies. And the winner of Best Actor in a TV Mini Series or Movie (Drama) is … (Al Pacino because he won the Screen Actors Guild Award for You Don’t Know Jack last year.) … Al Pacino… See I can predict them sometimes. You can tell he’s getting old, but he’ll continue to do what he does because he seems to like it. And he’s passionate about his roles. (Why is Johnny Depp wearing sunglasses? Does he know he’s inside?) Also to announce Best Actress in a TV Mini Series or Movie. And the winner is … (Claire Danes, she won the Screen Actors Guild Award last year for Temple Grandin) … Claire Danes. Again, I’m good at this. It’s just been a while. I’ve also had to remember last year’s Oscars. I really want to see this one and You Don’t Know Jack because they keep winning. Man, this is crazy. I finally get a break for commercial. This is intense. And such a good set of Awards. I love the beginning of award season; it’s always such a rush. So work today wasn’t that bad. It was pretty normal, but because of the call offs and somewhat busy-ness of the store the cashiers got out later than me. Zac Efron ! Beautiful man, what are you announcing? The nominee of The Kids are All Right in Best Motion Picture – Comedy or Musical Tina Fey and the ungrateful Steve Carroll, funny; best pairing. And the winner for Best Original Screenplay is … (Inception better win, but I could guess it might go to The Social Network) … Yep, it’s The Social Network. I would have preferred Inception, much better, but I thought The Social Network was pretty good too. Chris Helmsworth and Chris Evans. They’re lovely and superheroes. And the winner for Best Actress in a TV Series, Mini Series, or Movie is … (Julia Stiles, just because I want Dexter to win) … Jane Lynch for Glee. She seems to win a lot the past couple years. Sue Sylvester must be hilarious and great great great in a school. My laptop is going to die. Ugh. Must get power source! Olivia Wilde and Robert Pattinson are announcing the Best Foreign Language Film. Olivia has a beautiful ball gown on and she couldn’t get any prettier. And the winner is In a Better World from Denmark. I didn’t make a prediction because I didn’t really care; I’ve never seen any of these. Dame Judy Dench is announcing the nominee for Best Motion Picture – Drama of The King’s Speech. This film features Colin Firth and Helena Bonham Carter. Blair Underwood and Vanessa Williams. She has on a very sparkly dress, which is pretty. And the winner for Best TV Actress in a Comedy or Musical is … (Lea Michele for Glee) … Or Laura Linney for The Big C. Jane Fonda, you haven’t been on the Globes stage in 25 years? Wowza! But good job announcing Burlesque for Best Motion Picture – Comedy or Musical. So many Good movies up for grabs Kaley Cuoco is the one I got out of this. She’s really cute too. Best TV Actor in a Comedy or Musical winner is (Jim Parson, Big Bang Theory) …. JIM PARSONS! Big Bang Theory won something! I love Sheldon! I love him, he’s so cute. And amazing. It sucks that he stole it from GLEE but it’s sooooo good, for Big Bang Theory to win (: Jeremy Irons, I always forget that you’re kind of old and Scar. And the winner for Best Supporting Actress in a Motion Picture is … (Mila Kunis for Black Swan) … Melissa Leo in The Fighter. She’s cute and really excited to get a kiss from Jeremy Irons. I would definitely be that excited too. I probably shouldn’t be calling all these people old, because they probably aren’t that old. And Helena Bonham Carter needs to do something about her hair. Matt Damon will be presenting an Award to Robert Di Niro. It’s the Cecil B DeMille Award. Matt didn’t know who Robert was until five years ago… And Many people think of him as the greatest actor ever. I LOVE THAT MATT DOES IMPRESSIONS! After about 70 or so films he deserves this. This award never goes to anyone who doesn’t deserve it. Over the past 40 years he’s done really well for himself. I wouldn’t doubt he’s the role model for tons of other actors right now. He never plays the same guy, he is very versatile and that probably helped him get to where he is now. And with a new movie featuring Bradley Cooper out this year (which De Niro directed and stars in) we have much to look forward to still. Awh, he just said he wants to be the one who presents Matt Damon with his own Cecil B DeMille Award. He’s also going to be around for a while. Who knew Robert could make jokes about deporting people and Megan Fox. Congratulations to Robert Di Niro for this. As much as I hate Romeo and Juliet, Gnomeo and Juliet looks so cute! Megan Fox should not be announcing The Tourist for Best Motion Picture – Comedy or Musical. But I would like to know why that movie is even in Best Motion Picture – Comedy or Musical… Is it really a Comedy? And the winner for Best Director is … (Christopher Nolan – Inception… Don’t be The Social Network) … The Social Network’s David Fincher. Okay, okay. It’s not that great. Inception should have won. Jimmy Fallen and January Jones, very nice looking people. I love Jimmy. And the winner for Best TV Series – Comedy or Musical is … (BIG BANG THEORY… or I guess GLEE) … GLEE! I don’t watch it, but I wish I did. They have great music. Alicia Keys announces the nomination for Best Motion Picture – Drama of Black Swan. Halle Berry, as always is in a skimpy dress. And the Best Actor in a Motion Picture is … (Johnny Depp Alice in Wonderland) … Nope, Paul Giamati. I’m wrong once again. I’m starting to lose it. I can’t hear his speech because my TV sucks. Joking of Halle Berry and Godiva chocolates, I haven’t seen much of him in a while. Coming up the Winner of Best Motion Picture – Comedy or Musical. I personally want Alice in Wonderland, but I feel like it will go to The Kids are Alright”. Joseph Gordon-Levitt is announcing the nomination for Inception for Best Motion Picture – Drama. This is the movie meant to win, but The Social Network already won best director and those two “go hand-in-hand” as dad says. Jeff Bridges, I love you. And the winner for Best Actress in a Motion Picture – Drama is … (Natalie Portman, I really haven’t seen any of these) … Natalie Portman! Man, she’s showing her baby bump fast, but her dress is very pretty, I do like the rose center. I need to see this movie, everyone is making such a big deal out of it and it’s getting a lot of hype. Natalie truly is a beautiful person. Tom Hanks, I bet one day you’re going to be receiving the Cecil B DeMille award too. Tim Allen you will just always be funny. And the Winner for Best Motion Picture – Comedy or Musical is … (remember I want Alice) … The Kids are All Right. According to dad it was really good. The beautiful Sandra Bullock announces the Best Actor in a Motion Picture – Drama. And the winner is … (James Franco 127 Hours) … Colin Firth, The King’s Speech. At least it wasn’t Jesse Eisenburg, as much as I love him I couldn’t possibly let him win. “Surprise Guest,” What? Who is going to win Best Motion Picture – Drama? The Social Network probably has it in the bag, but I would still like to see Inception take home the win. Michael Douglas is our special guest who will be announcing the final winner for Best Motion Picture. Standing Ovations are nothing less than expected for this man. And the winner for Best Motion Picture – Drama is … (Inception, we know why) … The Social Network. If ever a movie won that didn’t deserve this award it would be now. I’ll tell you I loved this movie. I loved Jesse Eisenburg, Justin Timberlake, and Andrew Garfield, but I believe Leonardo Di Caprio, Joseph Gordon-Leavitt, and Ellen Page did a much better job than they did. Facebook didn’t need a movie, it was already popular, but movies about your dreams and someone taking control would have been much more deserving. We still have the Screen Actors Guild and Academy Awards to look forward to. There is never a guarantee that the same winners will win either of those, so we just have to wait and see. Now after three hours and five pages written about the event, I hope you enjoyed this. And of course, I’m Jackie and I don’t know crap.
