thoughts about ish
It’s here. The time for Oscar to shine has arrived and I’m ready this time. This is what I am for. To give everyone the DL on the movies. I’ve been training for this day for months. I’m ready. The 83rd Annual Academy Awards are being hosted by Anne Hathaway and James Franco and it should be wonderful.
Oh this is perfect. I love that we’re going through all the movies with this. Anne and James being put into the movies is a new and wonderful way to start out the Awards. Even more perfect with the spot of Back to the Future. They both look sooo dashinggggg. Beautiful people hosting my favorite night. Awwhhhh. They’re family is there. They’re soo cuteeee ! I just learned that Gone with the Wind (which is my favorite movie) was the first film to ever win an Oscar in 1939 for best picture, cinematography, and art direction in the same night. Best Art Direction was given to Alice in Wonderland. Alice in Wonderland wasn’t really what I was expecting… I was personally rooting for Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 1 of course, but I can’t win everything. The Oscar for Cinematography goes to Inception. So good. Inception really did deserve that. It deserves best picture tonight too, but like I said, I can’t win everything. The worst part is that Christopher Nolan did not get nominated for Best Director. Which really is a sad thing, He’d probably be able to beat out David Fincher for The Social Network. Kirk Douglas (honestly I don’t know who he is, I was just told he’s Michael Douglas’s father) is really funny. He’s announcing the Best Supporting Actress. And the Oscar goes to (I’m thinking Mila Kunis, my dad thinks Helena Bonham Carter, but I also think that the girl from True Grit could win. Nevermind, Mila Kunis isn’t even nominated) Melissa Leo for The Fighter. I really like her dress. I wish I knew what it was. It’s white and sparkly with a drop neckline. She wasn’t even expecting that. And no one was expecting her to swear on National Television… Good thing for that time delay. Justin Timberlake and Mila Kunis. New Back Drop. And tonight is all about new movies and firsts. Since Shrek was the first movie to win Best Animated film to win an Oscar, that was the backdrop. Animated Short Film Oscar goes to The Lost Thing… I wish I knew about short film… And the Oscar for Best Animated Feature Film goes to TOY STORY 3!!!!!!! I was expecting that. I mean, who wasn’t? 1929 was the first year for the Oscars at the Hollywood Roosevelt Hotel right across the street from the current location of The Kodak Theater. Javier Bardem and Josh Brolin look very nice in white tuxedoes. Together they are announcing Best Adapted Screenplay. The Social Network could win this for Screenplay… But I think True Grit should just because it’s a remake. And the Oscar goes to Aaron Sorkin for The Social Network. In 73 years, The Social Network will not be remembered. It’s not Gone with the Wind, it won’t be a classic, even if it wins Best Picture…. He’s a talker. The music has started, that’s your cue, please leave. Also, they’re announcing Best Original Screenplay… I WANT INCEPTION. But maybe The Fighter will win or possibly The King’s Speech… And the Oscar goes to : The King’s Speech. Christopher Nolan cold be being snubbed. But I don’t know. They’re going to sing! Anne Hathaway is singing about Hugh Jackman. She’s so good. Hahaha. Oh, so funny. And her shoes are beautiful. James Franco is in a dress and ripping on Charlie Sheen. Hahaha. Helen Miren and Russel Brand are presenting together. This is soo weird. But so Funny. And the Oscar for Best Foreign Film goes to In a Better World from Denmark. This is the third film from Denmark to win an Oscar for this Category. I love Reese Witherspoon. She’s so pretty and wearing my favorite classy black and white. She’s presenting Best Supporting Actor. Christian Bale is the favored winner. I want Jeremy Renner to win. And the Oscar goes to Christian Bale. I’ve said it before, I can’t win them all. Oh man, this accent. I never would have guessed he was from Wales. I have no idea who these people are… They’re just talking about the Academy and ABC… They’re saying Oscar just renewed his vows with ABC until 2020. God, Anne Hathaway gets to wear sooo many nice dressed. Hugh Jackman and Nicole Kidman look so nice. It’s about the sound. And the Orchestra is playing all the best scores from the past so good. Pretty soon we’ll have a new score to add to this great category. And the Oscar goes to (The Social Network won the Golden Globe, but I don’t want it to win now. I want Inception, it was dramatic and perfect and everything a movie needs) The Social Network. What is wrong with the Academy? Do they not understand that this is not what we’ll remember in 50 years? THE TWO MOST GORGEOUS PEOPLE IN THE WORLD Matthew McCaughney and Scarlett Johanson are announcing The Achievement in Sound. Personally, I think Inception should win. Or True Grit. None of these movies are getting recognized. And the Oscar for Sound Mixing goes to Inception. It has the bessst sound ever. Not only is your mind blown from the story, but from the sound toooo . And the Oscar for Sound Editing goes to Inceptionnnnnnn ! Marissa Tomei is wearing a very pretty purple dress. Kate Blanchett is wearing an ugly dress. Dad said it’s because she’s British… And the Oscar for Makeup goes to The Wolfman. I haven’t seen it, but with a title like The Wolfman it should win. Hahah And the Oscar for Costume Design goes to Alice in Wonderland. So good, costumes were perfect. Where did Kevin Spacey come from? Randy Newman is singing We Belong Together from Toy Story. Mandy Moore and Zachary Levi are singing from Tangled. Amy Adams and Jake Gyllenhaal look really nice. She has a very nice sparkly dress on tonight. And the Oscar for Documentary Short Subject goes to Strangers No More. And the Oscar for Live Action Short Film goes to God of Love. Anne Changed again. And Ronald is singing! Oh mannnnnnnnnn. They just turned this scene into a song. And Toy Story. Oh my God. ! This is perfectttttt. Remixing all these scenes. So good. I’m dyinnnngggg. HARPO is at the Oscars. She’s announcing Best Documentary Feature. And the Oscar goes to Inside Jobs. All of you should know while I’ve been doing this I have also eaten, been texting, and Facebook chatting. So many things are going on and I’m surprised I’m able to do it. Billy Crystal, I haven’t seen you in so long. He’s so funny. One day he will probably host again. Celebrating Bob Hope hosting the Awards. The Hologram of Bob Hope was really cool. Robert Downey Jr. and Jude Law are really funny. Robert Downey Jr just took the heat for being the old Charlie Sheen. The Oscar for Visual Effects goes to Inception. It was sooo good. Especially that scene when Joseph Gordon-Levitt is going around the hallway. And the Oscar for Film Editing goes to The Social Network. Anne has soooooo many dresses. This one is red. And James is HILARIOUS. Two more songs coming up. “If I Rise” from 127 hours performed by people who I cannot spell the names of. Now Gwenyth Paltrow is singing something from Country Strong. Recap of Best Songs: We belong together – Toy Story I see the light – Tangled If I rise – 127 hours. Coming home – Country Strong And the Oscar goes to : Randy Newman for “We Belong Together” from Toy Story 3. So good. I really liked that song. Randy was perfect. He deserved this, especially since it’s only his second win out of twenty nominations. Time for the sad part. We’re honoring everyone who died. And Celine Dion is singing live for this. And Halle Barry is honoring Lena Horne for being the first black woman to sign a movie contract. Now a Blue Dress. Anne, are you keeping all of these? Now Welcome two time Award winner, Hilary Swank, she’s only introducing Catherine Bigelow so she can introduce Best Director. I don’t want it to go to David Fincher for The Social Network. Since Christopher Nolan isn’t nominated it should go to The Coen Brothers for True Grit. But the Oscar goes to Tom Hooper for The Kings Speech. Such an upsetttttt ! This is a good upset. I don’t like when they go over the Govenor’s Awards. Because it’s too hard to talk about them. But I like knowing who got Lifetime Achievement Awards. BEST ACTORS/ACTRESSES TIME! Jeff Bridges is announcing the nominees for Actress in a Leading Role. Annette Benning, Nicole Kidman, Jennifer Laurence, Natalie Portman, and Michelle Williams. And the Oscar goes to NATALIE PORTMAN for The Black Swan! I am so so so glad she won. She really did deserve it. Good for her. Sandra Bullock gets to announce Nominees for Actors in a Leading Role. All in all, Sandra is a great person. This past year has been ridiculous for her, and she’s the strongest person in Hollywood. Javier Bardem, Jeff Bridges (and Sandy just called him “dude”), Jesse Eisenburg, Colin Firth, James Franco (he didn’t even get a seat in the audience). And the Oscar goes to COLIN FIRTH for The King’s Speech. I love Jesse Eisenburg, but I don’t think he needed to win. That movie was not a good movie for the Oscars. And Colin probably did really good in The King’s Speech. I just have yet to see it. Finally the moment we’ve been really waiting for, Best Motion Picture. There are ten films that could win tonight. I wish it was still the original five, but ten is alright too. And another dress along with a very enthusiastic introduction of Steven Spielburg. And the Nominees for Best Motion Picture are The King’s Speech, Winter’s Bone, The Social Network, Black Swan, The Fighter, Inceptions, 127 Hours, The Kids are Alright, True Grit, and Toy Story 3. The way they announced nominees was really cool. Using The King’s Speech and showing all of the films was a new and interesting way. AND THE OSCAR GOES TO THE KING’S SPEECH. Something new. It wasn’t even expected until this week and it won. Up until early this week The Social Network was the favored film to win. And this year the Oscars went by so much different then expected. And it was really fun to watch with my dad. I just can’t believe Oscar is 83 already, I plan on watching him when he’s 100. And when History is really made. PS22 Fifth Graders are singing Over The Rainbow. These kids are sooo cute! And they did such a good job. My biggest disappointment is that Harry didn’t win anything. ): I hope you all enjoyed my update of the Oscars and if you missed it, I gave you all the winners. So good. Always remember, I’m Jackie and I don’t know crap, unless it comes to this. (;
