Instead of starting the weekend post off with Friday, we’re going to start with today. I woke up somewhere between 11:30 and 12-noon and walked into dad’s office saying “what’re we doing today?” with no intention of actually doing something. We just sort of hung out and watched horrible made-for-TV movies. And yes, I’m serious when I say horrible. But we found out what motivates me to wash dishes: just tell me you’re going to take me out. Yes, we ended up going out. We had been talking about going to see Star Trek for a second time all week, but didn’t know what day to go. At about 5:30 I said we could go see it tonight, but we usually don’t go to movies past 6. I didn’t care; I wanted to go see Star Trek and said we should go to the 7:30 showing. I did the dishes, took a shower, and did my hair. We got to the theater early, which means we got good seats this time around. The previews were about to start when I asked dad if it was possible that we would get new previews. They started off with “UP” like every other movie. In the middle of the previews came one that, of course, started with the green “This preview has been approved for all audiences” but it also had the “This film has been rated PG” logo at the bottom and in the back of my mind I thought “This is it; this is the preview I’ve been waiting to see on the big screen for months!” And it was the beloved Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince trailer I’ve been dying to see ever since Twilight came out. I really can’t wait ’til it comes out now. Star Trek a second time around was fantastic. I think the movie gets more exciting the more you see it. I think the next time I go to see a movie, I’m just going to look around and find people whose faces light up when the movie starts. I want to know how many people are just as excited as me to be seeing whatever movie it is that’s showing. I also found the tribble that was sitting in a cage next to Scotty when they first find him. And they explain the time change not just in the cave with Old Spock, but on the ship before that even happens. I didn’t even notice it the first time. The movie was better a second time; it definitely was not a waste of money.
Now onto Friday: The Day of Chaos. I, of course, had to go to school and that went by fairly well. Mr. Medaglia actually recognized that I was in class and didn’t accidentally mark me absent. But then I had to make up my Chemistry Test and try to catch up in Computers, both of which went horribly, after school. I had no idea what was on the test and I only did one thing after school in computers. Plus, I keep messing up the charts. I swear if my grade goes down I’m going to go insane. Only 8 more days of class, I can’t afford to mess up completely. I got home and was completely exhausted. I don’t even really remember what I did. I just remember that at about nine o’clock I started watching Jeff Dunham with dad and fell asleep during the Peanut skit. I woke up around one to Katt Williams. On Saturday I watched three episodes of Band of Brothers before dad left to go to Uncle Marty’s house. Then I went downstairs to catch up on my CSI, House, Bones, and Criminal Intent episodes. I was down there from 3:30 ‘til about 11:30. I fell asleep watching Criminal Intent. That was my Saturday, boring as usual. Then you already head about today. Tomorrow is Memorial Day, there’s a parade. Well that’s my weekend. Sleepy, full of TV, and another Star Trek experience; I’d say that’s a pretty good weekend. Next weekend is my driving test, wish me luck. Good night, keep reading and remember I’m Jackie and I don’t know crap.
